Hi friends! Just coming down off of a major high as we wrap up a 2-day photo shoot for our launch. Though really I’m still riding the high. And I don’t anticipate this feeling letting up for the next couple of weeks as I get closer to unveiling this world I’ve been building with you.
What’s exciting me the most is the response we’ve been getting to the product. Both with this shoot and the mini shoot we did in Florida, everyone has been obsessed with the garments. Yesterday both of the models were fawning over everything, while saying things like, “I want to move to the country and host dinner parties.” Which, I suppose, is the entire purpose behind these shoots, to share this lifestyle with you and inspire your own life through our lens. You don’t necessarily need to move to the country of course (though I highly recommend it) but wherever you are, maybe you will feel inspired to host a simple lunch or dinner al fresco, be it in your suburban backyard or rooftop in the city. And if neither of those apply, you can still put on a caftan and walk around your living room feeling like a goddess traipsing through the garden; you can toss one of our table throws onto any surface and instantly elevate and enhance — your meal and your mood.
You just don’t want to take the clothes off. It’s a feeling you get when you put them on. I for one am thrilled that caftan season is finally upon us. It’s now becoming warm enough that I can wear caftans, shirtdresses and my absolute fave wrap skirt set like a uniform on repeat. I both love and need a uniform, because honestly I am lazy and find myself living in jeans and a t-shirt or sweatshirt otherwise. Which is fine too, I will forever love jeans and a tee, but as I’m getting older I am finding myself wanting to elevate my wardrobe. These pieces are the perfect solution as they’re just as comfy and easy, if not moreso — definitely on the comfort side.
Day 1 we shot the table linens, which was equally amazing and much more exhausting than I thought it would be! At first I thought we could shoot everything in one day, and I am so glad we decided to split it up. It’s a lot of work re-building table after table. But I will say this: the table designs were extremely simple, which is part (most?) of the beauty of our table linen philosophy. [Maybe too simple for the first half of the shoot when I realized I had been forgetting to put glassware on the table. It happens!] You know I’ve said this before, I have always hated the fact that if you look up tablesetting inspo on Pinterest you are faced with all of these overdone and often intimidating images. The point of my line is to say, keep it simple. Let the true beauty shine through, the beauty of the moment and the meal and your company — and yes, the beauty of your hand-dyed and hand-printed table linens, heirloom pieces made with love that you can feel.
I’m not announcing a launch date yet, because there have been a few delays and I’m waiting to see when my product will arrive here in the heavenly Hudson Valley, but I am hoping to release before the month’s end. Likely very close to it.
Remember to sign up here for the launch as I will offering early access to that list. We are making *very few* quantities per style as we test the market and there’s no guarantee we re-order things, so you won’t want to miss out!
And if you would like to do something to support the launch, I would be ever-so-grateful if you wouldn’t mind sending a quick note to any of your contacts who you think would enjoy the line (new moms, old moms, those who love to host or keep a beautiful home) and simply share this link to get on our list. A good deed for the day, it would mean the world! Thank you thank you thank you for your continued support.
All my love,
Sarah
